Director, Field Design
The Director, Field Design is an enterprise leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and deep experience and expertise in development, measurement and optimization of customer facing resourcing and effectiveness. As part of the US BBU’s ambition to lead innovation through delivering brilliant launches and transforming healthcare delivery, this role will be integral by embedding a strategic enterprise rigor to customer facing resourcing and evolving the approach to providing actionable insights to maximize and optimize customer facing impact across our portfolio through proactively balancing industry trends with portfolio growth and US BBU priorities.As part of the US BBU’s ambition to lead innovation through delivering brilliant launches and transforming healthcare delivery, this role will be integral by embedding a strategic enterprise rigor to customer facing resourcing and evolving the approach to providing actionable insights to maximize and optimize customer facing impact across our portfolio through proactively balancing industry trends with portfolio growth and US BBU priorities.
Responsibilities:
Accountable to maximizing the revenue generation delivered from customer facing channels through facilitating clarity and aligned trade off decisions in size and structure decisions
Responsible for evolving insights procured, utilized and leveraged across the commercial organization in optimizing customer facing impactable sales
Accountable for leading and influencing all customer facing resourcing decisions and cross portfolio tradeoffs with a focus on innovation in the face of omnichannel deployment
Identify opportunities and develop solutions to automate, streamline and innovate existing processes and resource allocation / go to market models as it relates to standards, reporting, insight generation and cross channel optimization
Represent SFO and an impartial enterprise position on the insight, risk, opportunities and recommendations to key internal and external stakeholders
Partner with IT to ensure appropriate data infrastructure and data integrity
Maintain an external focus to stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging opportunities to ensure that AZ is continually innovating and maintaining a true competitive edge
Ensure adherence to all AstraZeneca and Commercial Operations standards and policies.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline
Combination of 8+ years of experience in commercial insight and analytics, data modeling, pharmaceutical marketing and/or healthcare-related fields, digital marketing, technology capability, and/or information services
Experience with managing and developing a team of direct reports and able to manage performance of teams beyond direct reporting responsible for end-to-end delivery
Demonstrated experience in influencing and delivering Senior Leadership decision making
Experience with leading large, enterprise initiatives, including partnering with internal and external solutions partners and IT, managing internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
Proven track record of developing and articulating a strategy
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and business intelligence data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau or Power BI
Able to function independently, strong decision-making skills, set and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
Strong analytical, planning, organization skills, attention to detail
Ability to conduct meetings and facilitate stakeholder alignment
Preferred Background
Advanced Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
4+ years’ experience in advanced analytics, strategic sizing & resourcing, promotional effectiveness, brand insight or customer analytics
Ability to collaborate cross functionally across Marketing, Sales, Insights & Analytics, SFO and IT on resourcing models, measurement currencies, and brand promotional investment strategies
Thorough understanding of emerging customer experience and go-to-market models
Proven track record of leading and influencing senior leadership through change
